Olas is the result of the shared dreams & efforts of Roberto Diaz & Marla Gibson. These two avid surfers met in the waves at Churches in California & the connection was immediate. Their love of surfing, adventure & a playful life led them to a wonderful relationship. Now, the couple has merged its passions to form Olas.

Roberto was born & raised in Panama, & has lived & traveled the world. His company, Surf School & Tours of Panama, was founded in 2000. He brings to Olas highly coveted, local surf knowledge, which makes guests feel safe in & out of the water.

Marla was born & raised in South Carolina. She, too, has traveled the world, settling into California. It was in California where she learned to surf & was inspired by the spirituality of surfing. Marla is a massage therapist & yoga instructor & cherishes the connection between yoga, surfing & nature. She also has the southern-born gift of making everyone feel welcome & at home—no matter where that is.
